Material Preparation
Grey board (single-sided, double-sided, or solid grey) is selected as the internal substrate. Outer wrapping materials may include white cardstock, coated paper, or specialty paper. Auxiliary components such as adhesives and magnets are prepared, and materials undergo standard inspections for thickness, flatness, and other specifications
Printing and Surface Finishing
Following pattern printing, various finishing processes are applied as required-such as lamination (gloss or matte), hot stamping (gold, silver, laser, etc.), spot UV, and embossing/debossing-to enhance the box's visual appeal and tactile quality.
Die-Cutting and Forming
A two-person team collaborates on plate alignment, test cutting, paper feeding, mass die-cutting, and waste stripping. The depth of the "half-cut" (scoring) on the grey board is set to two-thirds of the material thickness to ensure clean, wrinkle-free folding.
Accessory Assembly
Hole punching and adhesive application are performed as needed to attach components like magnets and metal plates. High-strength OPP adhesive is used to ensure secure bonding and consistent positioning.
Gluing and Box Assembly
Teams of 2–4 workers handle gluing, positioning, edge wrapping, and smoothing. A specialized drawer-box forming machine is used to set the shape, followed by a pressing process to eliminate air bubbles and ensure a flat, smooth surface.
Quality Inspection and Warehousing
Dedicated personnel conduct comprehensive inspections of finished products, checking dimensional accuracy, the smoothness of the sliding mechanism, and bond integrity. Qualified products are neatly stacked and moved to storage.
